Two explosions were reported in Addis Ababa overnight, foreign media said, as
unrest in northern Tigray escalates. Two diplomats said one blast occurred near
the city-centre 4 Kilo area and the other near the Ethiopian National Defense
Force headquarters. The National Intelligence and Security Service said on
Wednesday night the government ordered a suspension of all drone flight permits
for the capital and surrounding areas to protect senior leaders and key
infrastructure.
