Sources said the Greek government forecasts 2% GDP growth this year and slightly faster growth in 2027 in a fiscal-plan draft the finance ministry will submit next Monday. The draft also projects budget surpluses over the period. Scope Ratings has given Greece its strongest credit rating since the euro-area sovereign-debt crisis and the Athens market was reclassified as developed earlier this year. The government is reducing debt by early repayment of bailout loans and plans to repay roughly €13bn of rescue funds this year, a move that could remove Greece’s status as the euro area’s most indebted country.
