According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, several hours ago, an old video was widely circulated on social media, with some users claiming that a suicide bomber entered the Grand Mosque in Mecca and attempted to detonate himself. After verification, the video was found to be unrelated to recent events, and the man in the video was not a suicide bomber. The video was filmed in February 2017. At that time, a 40-year-old man entered the Grand Mosque square, poured gasoline on his clothes, and attempted self-immolation. Grand Mosque security personnel subdued and arrested him before he could carry out the act.
