India's foreign ministry said on the 3rd it summoned Pakistan's acting charge
d'affaires in New Delhi to strongly protest what it called Pakistani
facilitation of "illegal cross-border infiltration." India said three people
crossed the boundary into Indian territory, ignored repeated warnings and moved
toward the border fence; because they constituted an "imminent security threat"
Indian border security forces took action. Pakistan summoned on the same day
India's acting charge d'affaires in Islamabad to strongly protest that Indian
border security personnel shot dead two Pakistani civilians at the
India-Pakistan border on the 2nd.
