MOFCOM commercial data showed that in the first three days footfall and turnover across 78 monitored shopping districts rose 3.4% and 5.3% YoY. Trade-in promotions generated CNY19.63 bln in sales and served 3.483 mln people: auto trade-ins totaled 46,000 units, supporting CNY7.45 bln in new-car sales; appliance trade-ins reached 1.511 mln units, driving CNY6.5 bln in sales; digital and smart-product purchases numbered 1.709 mln units, producing CNY4.9 bln in sales.
