The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.08% to 23,952.28 at midday after opening flat, dropping more than 100 pts before recovering and briefly reclaiming the 24,000 level. The Hang Seng Tech Index, which was down over 0.8% early, outperformed and rose 0.27% to 4,169.36. Market turnover was HKD 54.6 bln. Semiconductors led sector gains, with PCB and optical‑communications subgroups strong; AI application plays outperformed. Property and airline stocks were under pressure; pharmaceuticals labeled.
