Hong Kong's Legislative Council will hold a combined debate on the SAR's first five-year economic and social development plan (2026–2030) and the Chief Executive's 2026 policy address on Oct. 7–9, daily from 9am at the Legislative Council Complex. The government's motion on the five-year plan will be moved by the Chief Secretary for Administration. A motion of thanks for the policy address will be tabled and lawmakers have submitted 22 written questions across policy areas, all requiring written replies.
