On Oct 5 Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia’s foreign ministry and
defense ministry have warned countries of the dangers of operating in Kyiv, but
each country must decide how to run its embassy. He said the Russian military
will continue to carry out its tasks regardless of those decisions. Peskov said
Ukraine has expanded a list of attacks against Russian civilian economic targets
and that Russia is retaliating; Kyiv has not responded.
