Flavio Bolsonaro, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro and the Liberal Party candidate, led with 47.03%; incumbent President Lula (Workers' Party) received 45.16%; all other candidates were below 3%. Turnout was 78.92%, with more than 33.46 mln not voting. As no candidate passed 50%, Bolsonaro and Lula will contest a runoff on Oct 25.
