A Saudi-led coalition spokesman said coalition naval forces conducted operations
in Yemen’s Hodeidah province, destroying what the coalition described as
legitimate Houthi military targets, including weapons storage sites,
explosive-boat depots and naval-mine facilities. The spokesman said the action
aimed to thwart an imminent Houthi plot to attack southern Red Sea shipping
lanes and to protect navigation through the Bab al-Mandeb.
