AMD CEO Lisa Su held meetings with Taiwan contract manufacturers and devices brands including Foxconn, Quanta, ASUS and Acer, then met TSMC in Hsinchu. Su said AMD’s previously announced $10bn Taiwan supply‑chain investment is on schedule but will be raised due to a surge in AI compute demand, and the company will continue expanding Taiwan investments. She said AMD has sharply ramped CPU and GPU output this year but demand still exceeds supply, and the firm is accelerating capacity increases with TSMC, back‑end test-and-pack vendors (OSATs) and substrate suppliers.
