Supported by rising Fed rate-hike expectations and French sovereign debt
concerns, the dollar held firm, earlier rising to its strongest vs. a currency
basket since April 2025. Although Fed hike odds cooled in recent sessions, LSEG
data show markets have fully priced a 25bp hike in December and expect more than
three hikes next year. Euro weakness on French debt worries bolstered safe-haven
dollar demand. The DXY index rose 0.14% to 102.259.
