Inflation has remained above the PHILIPPINE C.BANK’s 3% target since the outbreak of the Iran war; peso weakness has amplified import-driven inflation for the import-dependent economy. The PHILIPPINE C.BANK has raised its policy rate by a cumulative 75 bps since April to rein in price pressures.
