Shenzhen rail expects a return-peak on Oct 6 with total arrivals and departures
around 882,000 passenger trips, up 28.8% YoY. Shenzhen North is forecast to
handle about 604,000 passenger trips, up 25.5%; arrivals at major hubs are
projected to average more than 400,000 per day on Oct 6-7. Since the start of
the National Day holiday through Oct 5, Shenzhen rail has handled 4.442 million
passenger trips, averaging 888,000 per day. To manage the return flow, waiting
rooms at Shenzhen North, Shenzhen station, Shenzhen East and Futian will be open
overnight on Oct 6-8.
