On Oct. 6 Spain’s official gazette published a decree extending port and airport
entry controls on travelers from Italy until Oct. 22. The extension is a
response to Italy’s earlier renewal of controls on arrivals from Spain over the
Ceuta migration dispute; it is Spain’s fourth reciprocal measure. The Spanish
government said the conditions prompting the controls persist and extend the
deadline, but left open the possibility of revising the period if the situation
changes.
