On Oct 6 Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman said the East–West oil
The pipeline has been restored to 5.8 mln barrels per day. The pipeline was halted
in September after drone attacks. It links Saudi Arabia’s eastern oilfields to
the Red Sea port of Yanbu, has a maximum capacity of roughly 7.0 mln bpd, and is
a key alternative route that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz for Saudi crude
exports.
