Vietnam has extended tax exemptions on environmental levies, aviation fuel, VAT and import duties through Dec. 31 to offset global energy-supply disruptions from the Middle East conflict and to help cap fuel prices and curb Q4 inflation, the finance ministry said. The measures will cost the government VND138 trillion (about $530m) and are intended to lower transport, logistics and production costs; officials added the economy must grow at least 12.5% in Q4 to meet an ambitious 10% growth target for 2026, highlighting the policy trade-off between supporting activity and containing inflation.
