According to the Wall Street Journal, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Treasury Secretary Bessenter's style of conduct was a factor—and sometimes even the primary factor—in the departure of several key officials. According to more than a dozen current and former Treasury officials, since taking office in early 2025, Bessenter has harshly reprimanded both senior advisors and junior staff on a wide range of issues, large and small.
