Retail and leisure demand surged over the National Day holiday in Shenzhen:
Futian business district recorded nearly 7.0 mln visits in the first four days
and sales above 500 mln yuan. Service, scene-based and cross-border consumption
expanded simultaneously; Shenzhen border inspection projects average daily port
passenger flows of 970,000 during the holiday. Guangdong province rolled out
province-wide consumption campaigns with subsidies exceeding 10 bln yuan. Policy
support for big-ticket purchases continued: new-energy vehicle purchase tax
halved and car trade-in subsidies remain in place. At the five-day 2026 (18th)
Shenzhen International Auto Show, attendance was about 420,000, with 14,759
vehicles booked and booked transaction value near 2.8 bln yuan.
