Mubird Homestays released its 2026 National Day homestay consumption report showing notable YoY booking gains: average daily homestay orders in tier‑3-and‑below cities rose 17% YoY, stays of seven nights or longer were up 30% YoY, and family-travel bookings made up 53% of orders. County-level destinations accounted for 40% of users, making county trips a National Day hotspot; 15% of users departed before the holiday. Top 10 destinations by bookings were Beijing, Qingdao, Nanjing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Weihai, Changsha, Hangzhou, Kaifeng and Xi’an. Beijing led Top 10 growth, with average daily orders up 83% YoY versus last year’s double-holiday period; Kaifeng entered the Top 10 with daily orders up 69% YoY.
