China's 2026 National Day film box office, including presales, exceeded 1.07 bln yuan as of 10:00am, with multiple genre releases drawing audiences and regions rolling out 'movie+' promotion campaigns to bolster holiday spending. China UnionPay's Liaoning branch said viewers who validate tickets on its platform can unlock nearly 1,000 provincial partner discounts—restaurant instant reductions, supermarket rebates and hotel offers—and that ticket purchasing now covers full online and offline scenarios to extend consumer spending beyond cinemas.
