The Fed will release minutes of the September policy meeting at 2:00 a.m.
Thursday; markets broadly expect officials to leave rates unchanged in October.
Minutes are expected to reveal a wider split on the future rate path that could
influence the Fed's next moves: some officials view inflation as persistent and
favor further tightening — Dallas Fed President Logan says at least two
additional 25bp hikes are needed — while others, including New York Fed
President Williams and Vice Chair Jefferson, urge patience, saying there is no
need to rush another rate increase.
