Preliminary Statistics Sweden data show September CPIF excluding energy at 0.5% YoY, broadly stable but below the 0.7% median forecast from analysts and the Riksbank. Headline CPIF rose to 1.5% YoY, roughly double last year and in line with market expectations. CPIF has remained below the Riksbank’s 2% target since January; the policy rate has been unchanged at 1.75%, currently the lowest in the EU. The print may reinforce policymakers’ view that a 25bp rate hike in the Coming months remain on the table as the economy recovers.
