The Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada says corporate and
institutional AI use has increased more than eightfold over the past three
years. A survey of 5,000 Canadian CPAs found 43% of users' organizations
used AI this year versus 5% in 2023; nearly three-quarters report using AI at
least weekly. A growing share say AI has delivered tangible benefits, but
governance lags: 67% can access institution-approved AI tools, only 45% say
their organization has a formal AI-use policy, and 34% report employee AI
training or a formal AI strategy.
