At the close of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with fuel oil surging over 16%. Methanol, paraxylene, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), benzene, and styrene (EB) hit their daily limit up. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) rose over 9%, and PTA rose nearly 9%. On the downside, palladium fell over 6%, red dates fell over 3%, platinum and silver fell over 2%, and iron ore, peanuts, nickel, and fiberboard fell nearly 2%.
