China’s National Immigration Administration said 15.462 mln entries and exits
were processed over the National Day holiday, a daily average of 2.209 mln, up
6.7% YoY. Single-day peak was Oct. 4 at 2.397 mln. Mainland residents outbound
totaled 4.444 mln (+9.3% YoY). Foreign entries were 682,000, of which 505,000
used visa-free entry (+5.4% and +9.2% YoY respectively). Border inspections
covered 732,000 transport conveyances (aircraft, ships, trains, vehicles), up
14.7% YoY.
