At midday closing, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Fuel oil surged over 18%, while low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and asphalt rose over 9%. Methanol, paraxylene, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), benzene, and styrene (EB) hit their daily limit up. On the downside, palladium fell over 6%, red dates fell over 4%, and silver, glass, iron ore, and tin fell over 3%, while platinum fell nearly 3%.
