Israel’s defense ministry said the first Tamir interceptor for the Iron Dome
system, fully manufactured and assembled in the United States, was delivered in
Arkansas on Oct. 8. The interceptor was produced by a US-based joint venture
between Raytheon and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems at the Arkansas plant — the
first complete Iron Dome production line outside Israel. The U.S. Missile
Defense Agency and Israel’s Missile Defense Organization completed the handover;
the interceptor will be shipped to Israel for operational use. The plant will
also produce a US Marine Corps variant of the Tamir interceptor.
