ECB minutes for the Sept. 9-10 meeting, published Thursday, said inf may end up
higher than previously forecast but policymakers stressed avoiding any signal of
further policy action and keeping all options open. The minutes said it was
especially important not to provide guidance on the future path of interest
rates. The Governing Council raised policy rates by 25bps at the meeting; all
policymakers judged inf risks to be tilted to the upside.
