Google, part of ALPHABET, launched a general-purpose GEMINI AI agent for enterprise office use, intensifying competition with OpenAI, ANTHROPIC and Microsoft for corporate clients. The agent handles Q&A, content creation and code writing and runs inside Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Calendar. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said it selects the most appropriate model per task, includes built-in cost controls and provides enterprise-grade security, management and governance.
