China's main domestic futures contracts opened mostly lower: SHFE tin fell about
5%, lithium carbonate dropped over 3%, ethylene glycol (EG) and SHFE lead
declined more than 2%, while SHFE zinc, international copper and aluminum alloy
slipped nearly 2%. On the upside, methanol rose over 7%, LPG gained nearly 5%,
benzene was up over 2%, polypropylene and plastic climbed about 2%, and p-xylene
and fuel oil rose just over 1%.
