Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption has charged former
Greentown China chairman Zhang Yadong with allegedly accepting HKD20 million
from a Dalian property developer shareholder, accusing him of prompting
Greentown China (03900.HK) to acquire a local project for RMB440 million. The
case was arraigned at the Eastern Magistrates' Court in Hong Kong on Oct. 9.
Greentown said Zhang left the board in March 2025 and has not participated in
company management since, has cooperated with the ICAC investigation, and that
business operations, its team and performance remain normal.
