SOCGEN rates strategist says high inflation alongside weak growth increases the
appeal of inflation-linked bonds in fixed-income portfolios. Although headline
inflation has eased recently, renewed conflict in the Middle East raises upside
inflation risk. The strategist expects higher energy costs to have a lagged,
indirect impact that will gradually feed through the broader economy.
