OpenAI said it ended cooperation with security researchers Jasmine, Mikita and
Tomek after an internal investigation found they violated policies on handling
sensitive information and that the issues identified exceeded what the
researchers disclosed in their open letter. The company said the departures were
not prompted by the researchers raising AI safety concerns and that internal
safety debate is routine. OpenAI said it is advancing cooperation with
third‑party security assessment firms and will publish details in the coming
weeks, and reiterated that ensuring monitorability of frontier models requires
an industry‑wide commitment and has been central to its research program.
