According to Saudi media outlet Alhadath, a Yemeni representative stated that the Houthi threat has expanded to maritime navigation security. A UN report confirms that the Houthis are collaborating with Al-Shabaab in Somalia and threatening the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Protecting maritime passages is a shared international responsibility and cannot be borne solely by Yemen.
