European Council President COSTA said the EU will carefully assess the situation
and take appropriate measures to protect the courts. He called the US decision
to delay the effective date of its latest measures an opportunity for dialogue
and said the EU will continue supporting the ICC and the Rome Statute system
politically, diplomatically, financially and practically.
