MOFCOM’s Europe Department head said the China–EU export control dialogue has
maintained close multi-level contact since its launch. Both sides agreed to
deepen the dialogue, strengthen policy communication to help preserve global
industry and supply-chain stability, and work to resolve mutual export-control
concerns; the EU will continue to push for progress on key dual-use licensing
cases affecting China. They discussed reciprocal facilitation for compliant
trade in dual-use items, with the EU to consider possible facilitation measures
for China, and agreed to step up communication on sanctions-list transfer issues
and, within their legal frameworks, support and substantially initiate
reciprocal transfer procedures.
