MOFCOM said the second meeting of the China-EU trade and investment
consultations mechanism reviewed the prior general guidance on price commitments
in the electric-vehicle anti-subsidy case; the EU will actively promote company price
commitments and related review procedures. Both sides flagged substantial
cooperation potential in new energy, artificial intelligence, services trade,
the digital economy and green/low-carbon sectors and agreed to explore two-way
investment cooperation. China reiterated it welcomes EU investment and will
continue improving its business environment, and urged the EU to provide a fair,
transparent and predictable operating environment and to safeguard the lawful
rights of Chinese firms to bolster investment confidence in Europe.
