Ukraine's General Staff said on Oct. 10 Ukrainian forces again struck the Samara
linear oil production dispatch station in Russia's Samara region; losses from
the strike are still being assessed. Kyiv said the facility is a major hub for
receiving, storing and blending crude that supports Russian military needs. The
General Staff said a Oct. 7 strike destroyed four storage tanks and triggered a
large fire. Ukraine said the strikes are aimed at degrading Russia's
military-economic capacity.
