On Oct. 11 President Zelenskiy said Kyiv supports a “practical, reliable” energy ceasefire and is willing not to strike Russian energy infrastructure if Russia takes reciprocal action. He said U.S. President Trump has announced an energy ceasefire arrangement, which Ukraine welcomes and expects to be implemented. Zelenskiy added Ukrainian armed forces have received the relevant orders and Kyiv is awaiting details of U.S.-Russia talks, expecting President Putin to honor the commitments described by Trump.
