At the opening of the 26th China International Industry Fair, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology set four priorities: accelerate industrial innovation by strengthening basic research and key‑technology R&D, reinforcing firms as the primary innovation drivers, optimizing national innovation platform layout and using national high‑tech zones to cultivate new tracks and speed tech commercialization; advance industrial upgrading by maintaining a complete industrial system, scaling applications of emerging industries, planning for future industries and renewing traditional sectors — tailoring local strategies to expand advanced manufacturing and deepen AI+manufacturing, with a strong push to develop open‑source foundation models and industry‑vertical model clusters to build world‑class firms; bolster intelligent software and hardware foundations and increase guidance and support for enterprise digital transformation, cultivating industry‑focused digital transformation service providers and promoting smart factories and high‑standard digital parks; and build a mutually beneficial industrial ecosystem.
