Boehringer Ingelheim opened a China R&D center in Zhangjiang, Shanghai. The center will integrate discovery, early development and translational research. A new early‑medicine team will advance projects through disease‑mechanism studies, biomarker development and clinical proof‑of‑concept work, and the company said it will actively push for Chinese participation in all preclinical development projects prior to proof‑of‑concept.
