At an Oct. 12 press briefing, Chen Zhiwei, director of SAFE’s Foreign Exchange Research Center, said PBOC Deputy Governor and SAFE Director Zhu Hexin will attend the opening ceremony of the 2026 Financial Street Forum annual meeting on Oct. 22 and deliver a keynote speech. SAFE will host a special session on the morning of Oct. 22. The forum will focus on frontier issues in international trade and economics and feature invited speakers offering diverse perspectives.
