Gartner preliminary data show global PC shipments in Q3 2026 were 55.4 mln units, down 22.4% YoY and the lowest since Q1 2023. Gartner senior researcher Namrata Banerjee said rising storage-semiconductor costs have now been fully passed through to PC prices; the market is undergoing premiumisation, making replacement purchases less affordable for consumers.
