The SFC today published consultation conclusions saying it will bolster targeted
powers under the Securities and Futures Rules to address IPO cases and
post‑listing misconduct. Proposed amendments would allow the SFC to impose
conditions on listing applicants that can remain in effect after listing, and to
impose post‑listing conditions on issuers as an alternative to immediate trading
suspension, while streamlining trading resumption procedures. The regulator will
also introduce a mechanism for independent review of SFC decisions under the
Listing Rules by the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal to enhance
procedural fairness and transparency.
