U.S. earnings season begins this week, with major banks starting to report from tomorrow. While bank results will attract attention, AI demand remains the primary market focus. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) is under particular scrutiny ahead of its Oct. 15 quarterly report. Analysts see EPS for TSMC’s U.S.-listed shares at about $4.42 and expect net profit to rise roughly 65% to TWD 746.3 bln. Markets will watch TSMC’s assessment of AI chip demand and whether customers plan further order increases, and whether the company can sustain this growth into 2027.
