As of the 23:00 market close, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) rose over 6%, fuel oil rose over 4%, and propylene, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), polypropylene, plastics, benzene, and other monthly contracts all rose by over 1%. On the downside, methanol fell over 5%, ethylene glycol (EG) fell nearly 2%, and asphalt, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and synthetic rubber fell over 1%.
