MOFCOM said Jan-Aug 2026 China’s services imports and exports totaled 5,070.16
bln yuan, up 7.9% YoY. Exports were 1,999.61 bln yuan, +14.8%; imports 3,070.55
bln yuan, +3.8%. Services trade deficit was 1,070.94 bln yuan, narrowing by
145.12 bln YoY. Travel and transport service exports contributed nearly half of
services export growth. Knowledge‑intensive services accounted for over 50% of
services exports.
