Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon dismissed recent speculation about a leadership
handover as "noise," saying there is no active succession process or timetable.
Reports had identified COO John Waldron as a likely successor and suggested
Solomon could step down as early as next year. On Tuesday's earnings call with
analysts Solomon said the board and he are fully focused on the firm's growth
strategy and client service, and that he is satisfied with the company's
progress and enjoying his role.
