The US consulate in Saudi Arabia issued a security alert on Oct. 13 saying that, after recent airborne attacks on Saudi airports, US government personnel and dependents must obtain special authorization from the US ambassador to use any airports in Saudi Arabia. The alert warns US citizens that Saudi airports may face further attacks and that flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions are possible.
